LINC - LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION FOR NEWCOMERS TO CANADA


About LINC
A free English as a Second Language full-time day or part-time evening program for Landed Immigrants and Convention Refugees is offered at Algonquin College. Day students will have access to free child care. The program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

LINC Bridging Course
Students entering this course will learn strategies that will improve their opportunities to enter higher academic programs. For example, students will use CAN8 to improve their listening and speaking; learn to use the Internet as a research tool; or increase their vocabulary and writing through sophisticated reading materials.
