Conventions and Meetings Management
If you are interested in joining the exciting field of convention and meetings management or want to enhance your opportunity for career advancement, this Ontario College Graduate Certificate program provides the professional training and credentials to work in this multi-faceted industry.
Courses can be taken individually or applied toward the certificate, which is awarded after successful completion of all compulsory courses and electives.
Graduates new to the industry may seek employment as meeting planners in corporations, trade and professional associations, convention/visitor bureaus, and specialized travel agencies. In addition, a variety of career opportunities exist on the supply side of the industry in trade shows and expositions, congress and convention centres, in-hotel catering and banquet facilities, and sales and marketing departments.
To qualify for this certificate, you must complete the program within four years.
Transfer of Academic Credit (Exemption)
If you possess qualifications beyond the entry level of your program (such as successful completion of another college, university or professional association course) you may be eligible for a Transfer of Academic Credit (or exemption) from an individual course. Official transcripts and course outlines are required at the time of application.
