FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME: FROM A CHILD'S VIEW Course:HLT7108
It is estimated that every year in North America 1 in every 750 infants is born with fetal alcohol syndrome and another 40,000 are born with Fetal Alcohol Effects. In this workshop we will explore the risks, signs and causes of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome as well as the devastating physical/mental lifelong effects of this disorder.

FOOT CARE FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS LEVEL II Course:HLT7078
This workshop will build on the knowledge and experience from level 1 adding assessment and treatments for more complex foot conditions. Special care issues for geriatric, diabetic and vascular patients will be reviewed.
Notes: A copy of current registration as an RPN or RN with the College of Nurses must be presented to the instructor at the first class. 2nd year PN or year 2 BScN students are also accepted. INTRODUCTION TO CHOCOLATE Course:GEN7113
This course introduces the student to the world of chocolate, from bean to bar. Through demonstrations you will learn the important process of tempering and examine the different qualities of chocolate. You will learn tasting techniques and sample a number of different chocolates, in addition you will examine tips and myths about chocolate, and be provided with the instructor's basic 'ganache' recipe for making numerous truffles. You will have the opportunity to purchase high quality chocolate from the instructor in order to make your own chocolate at home.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND CONCURRENT DISORDERS - DISPELLING THE MYTH Course:HLT7083
