Fast and forgiving is how some artists refer to acrylic paint. Explore the possibilities of working with acrylic on both paper and canvas supports. Starting with the production of a collection of acrylic technical exercises, you then proceed to develop at least two small completed paintings, one representational and one that is more expressive/abstract. Instructor demonstrations, discussions and examples illustrate various design principles, compositional devices, tips for selecting subject matter and effective color systems to use in acrylic. Learn to appreciate the process of exploration and your own personal artistic choices.

Notes: Suitable for beginners, those with some previous painting experience in watercolour, or anyone who wishes to refresh their own painting skills. Instructor: C. Walsh
