The Ottawa Valley is rich with a wide variety of wild plant species that you may find growing in your very own backyard, or in nearby fields or wooded areas. Discover the colorful history and traditional uses of these plants by the Indigenous and Settler cultures of the Ottawa Valley and how you too can follow these practices. Expand your naturalist knowledge and develop a greater appreciation for cultural values and roles of plant life and how to be a good steward of the local environment.
